Dr. Tan Meng Kiat David is a Hand Surgeon at the Gleneagles Hospital in Singapore. He specialises in cases involving injuries to the wrist, instability of the wrist, forearm axis disorders, and traumatic elbow instability and elbow contractures. He shows remarkable expertise in his field of interest and is a master of procedures like wrist arthroscopy, ligament reconstructions, and distal radioulnar joint reconstructions. He has gained notable success in treating a wide variety of wrist disorders. In addition to this, Dr. Tan Meng Kiat David has authored several publications on wrist fractures, wrist instability,and wrist arthroplasty. He is an active participant and presenter at international and regional specialty meetings where he sheds invaluable insights on his approach to stabilizing the distal radioulnar joint through combined repair of the triangular fibrocartilage complex and extensor carpi ulnaris stabilization. Previously, Dr. Tan Meng Kiat David worked as a senior consultant in the Department of Hand and Reconstructive Microsurgery at the National University Hospital. Later in 2012, he served as the department’s residency program director. He is also identified as the immediate past president of the Singapore Society for Hand Surgery. Currently, Dr. Tan Meng Kiat David is a visiting consultant at Changi General Hospital, Ng Teng Fong General Hospital, and Khoo Teck Puat Hospital. Additionally, he is also an assistant professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Yoon Loo Lin School of Medicine at the National University of Singapore.
