Dr. Lim Chong Hee is a cardiothoracic surgeon at Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore. He received his degree from the National University of Singapore in 1990, and in 1994 he was elected as a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, United Kingdom. Dr. Lim enhanced his training from 1999 to 2001 in cardiothoracic surgery under the guidance of renowned cardiothoracic specialists at Cleveland Clinic in Ohio, USA. He has performed 5,000 surgeries since 1994. He held significant leadership roles, such as founder and program director of the National Cardiovascular Homograft Bank and the director of the heart, lung, and transplant program at the National Heart Center in 2006 and 2007. He is a member of the College of Surgeons, Singapore Chapter of Cardiothoracic Surgeons, and a visiting consultant at the National HeartCenterSingapore. Dr. Lim had several roles there, including honorary secretary from 2005 to 2009 and chairman from 2009 to 2013. Dr. Lim is a fellow of the Singapore Academy of Medicine. Dr Lim worked as an adjunct associate professor and senior lecturer at the Duke-NUS Medical School in addition to his clinical practice. He keeps up his contribution to medical education by leading workshops and delivering talks at regional,national, and local conferences.
