Dr. Lee Yuh Shan is a Hematologist at the Gleneagles Hospital and the Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital in Singapore. His areas of expertise include malignant hematology namely lymphoma, myeloma, leukemia, and hematopoietic stem cell transplant. Dr. Lee has massively contributed to research on chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) and lymphoma treatment by introducing new agents to treat lymphoma. He aimed to obtain improved results in investigator-initiated trials of aggressive lymphoma carried out at the Singapore General Hospital (SGH) where he worked for 10 years. He served as the director of Lymphoma service in their Department of Hematology in 2017 and was appointed as the lymphoma lead at the SingHealth Duke Blood Cancer Centre(SDBCC) in 2018. In addition to this, Dr. Lee is an active senior clinical tutor wherein he trains undergraduate medical students of the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine at the National University of Singapore (NUS). He is also a faculty member of the senior residency program in hematology at SGH. Dr. Lee is also involved in regional hematology symposiums where he speaks on several topics, especially involving CLL and lymphoma. His contributions to Singapore World Lymphoma Day and lymphoma support groups are especially noteworthy. He has held positions on several pharmaceutical advisory boards and is an active member of the SingHealth Institutional Review Board (IRB). In addition to being a peer reviewer, he has numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals.
