Dr. Harish specialises in minimally invasive thoracic surgery such as uniportal video-assisted thoracic surgery (VATS) and robotic thoracic surgery (RATS), lung oncology, as well as chest wall resection and reconstruction. He was a senior consultant thoracic surgeon in the Department of Cardiac, Thoracic, and Vascular Surgery at the National University Hospital (NUH) and a former visiting consultant in the Department of General Surgery at Ng Teng Fong General Hospital and Khoo Teck Puat Hospital.

Dr. Harish completed his medical school and upon completing his basic surgical training, joined NUH where he began this training in cardiothoracic surgery. While at NUH, he started the robotic thoracic surgery program and the rib fracture fixation program. He has performed more than 2,500 thoracic surgeries since 2014.

He also performs novel lung surgery techniques including U-VATS, RATS, lung localization techniques, and navigational bronchoscopy. He has been practising medicine for more than 15 Years. He was the associate program director for the cardiothoracic residency program and a clinical tutor at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore.

Dr Harish is a council member for the chapter of cardiothoracic surgeons at the Academy of Medicine Singapore, assistant treasurer of the South East Asian Thoracic Society, and a member of the European Society of Thoracic Surgeons.
