Dr. Fan is a practisingoral and maxillofacial surgeon at the Gleneagles Hospital in Singapore. He is profound in both the medical and dental aspects of the surgical background and has gained extensive knowledge by completing his higher surgical training with FRCS(OSMF).

Before beginning private practice, Dr. Fan worked as an assistant professor with the Faculty of Dentistry at the National University of Singapore where he passed on his surgical wisdom to undergraduate students and graduate residents in the Department of Oral Surgery.

He practiced teaching postgraduate surgery students regionally as well in places like Malaysia, Indonesia, Cambodia, Vietnam, and Myanmar. Dr. Fan is identified as the sole inventor of the only rigid bioscaffold for jaw reconstruction with tooth socket preservation in dental implant treatment.

He was appointed as the President of the Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (Singapore) from 2006-2009. Later, he was the Chapter Chair of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, the College of Dental Surgeons, and the Academy of Medicine from 2010-2013. He was also an active member of the Ministry of Health Dental Specialist Accreditation Committee that reviewed specialists in oral & maxillofacial surgery entering the register of specialists (2008 - 2010).

At present, Dr. Fan is the director trainer for the only local faculty botox course for dentists. His expertise ranges from performing simple surgical procedures like dental implants, third molar extraction, and bone grafting surgery to more complex procedures like orthognathic jaw realignment, major cancer resection, neck dissection, and microvascular reconstruction associated with facial trauma and trauma-induced facial deformity.

Being well-versed in the field of medicine as well, he is actively involved in the combined management of medically compromised patients. Dr. Fan has high-value work experience in procedures like sinus lifts and alveolar bone augmentation and his specialties include facial esthetic surgery and orthognathic jaw realignment surgeries.
